DAYO OGBOJA SPORTS PAVILION

May I, on behalf of the exco of our Alumni, appreciate the esteemed members of this great Association for finding time to attend the meeting of 18/11/2022 and the official commissioning of the Chief Dayo Ogboja sports’ pavilion. We thank our seniors and friends who graced the occasion in such an intimidating number. We appreciate the 1982 set for the gift and string commitment to our alma mater.

Many thanks to the 83 set for not only attending but participating in the novelty match which the set won with a two zero record. We appreciate the Chief Dayo Ogboja family and well wishers that came all the way from Osi Ekiti to be part of the function.
We appreciate the Alaaye-in-council for coming.

We appreciate the encouragements from within and outside Nigeria, from our seniors and friends- some could not make it but they spoke to us, we thank you sirs and madams. The committees are already making commitments, various sets. 1971, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1986 etc have done so much in the past- the footprints are there and we know that you are still willing to do more towards a better alma mater.

We thank you sirs and madams. Pardon me if I did not specifically mention your set- but for want of space. The echoes vibrating from the Fin and Gen purpose committee, the Endowment and Scholarship committee, 1983 set, 1973 set, 1977 set (after their visit to the school) are really loud and by God’s Grace we will see manifestation shortly. We also appreciate the Principal, teachers and the students for their respective cooperation for our programs of 18/11/2022. We love you all.

We need more help and encouragement from our leaders. We need comments that will move us forward. We have several sets in Caposto with great visions- with this pavilion I am not ashamed to say that truly 82 set is a set with great vision. 76 has expended so much to rehabilitate our Biology Lab- great vision. 77 set made our Assembly Hall modern that is great vision. 71, 79 and many others- people of great visions. Pls blow your trumpet if you desire and if someone is not blowing it loud enough blow it louder.

However to all sets, we need your time, your treasure and your talent to make our alma mater better and it is our promise never to take any set or member for granted. The Association is already great but we will try our best to make it greater and we know that others that will succeed us will make it greater than us. There is room for healthy competition among sets.

Sirs and madams, we are not averse to healthy rivalry among set for the betterment of our School.

Let us keep thinking as sets and as individuals on what we can do.
