Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji says attaining an effective education sector is a collective responsibility with a call on alumni associations across the state not to shirk from assisting their Alma matta. Governor Oyebanji made the call on Saturday at Efon Alaaye during the 40th anniversary of the Christ Apostolic church Grammar School, CAPOSTO 83 set. It was an emotional moment speaking with his colleagues as they gathered to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their Alma matta it even became more thrilling when the governor requested his colleagues to do a personal introduction despite the press for time.

It was indeed a nostalgic rollercoaster that painted a flashback to the time they were students of the school after classmates including the governor gave their nicknames during the introductions. He described the event as emotional because it brought back memories of his days as a student of the school most importantly seeing the rostrum on which hew used to read news.

He said the morals and teachings in the school has shaped in him a the person he is today all thanks to God and the dedication put into the work by their teachers and principal of the school.

 Governor Oyebanji explained that most of the struggles he was able to to over come in life were all inculcated from attending the Christ Apostolic church grammar School, Efon Alaaye because from there he imbibed hard work, perseverance and dedication to both God and humanity. The Governor however appreciated the numerous support given him by his colleagues the 83 set of the school during the electioneering campaign days , he said he remained committed to the promises he made to them and as the governor of the state that he would not disappoint them as their ambassador.

He promised to support the infrastructural development of the school as well as welfare of the individuals who run the school but not as an individual but collectively as caposto 83 set. Thereafter, he solicited for unity among members and charged his colleagues not to be weary as an arm of the alumni to support the school because government alone can not do it as he described it as a collective responsibility where everyone has a part to play.

In his welcome address, President CAPOSTO 83 set Very Revd.Micheal Ilesanmi it was by the grace of God that many of the CAPOSTO 83 set were able to witness the 40th anniversary of the school and prayed for more Grace to witness many more of the anniversaries in good health. He charged members to remain committed to the development of the school because as they do posterity will never forget them because as they do lives are transformed and reward is sure. After a group photograph with his colleagues, governor Biodun Oyebanji was later led to commission a renovated section of the administrative block to enhance quality education experience in the school.
